La norma BS EN 13374 establece tres clases para definir la protecci\u00f3n de bordes:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><b>Clase A<\/b><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La clase est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ada para usarse en lugares donde el \u00e1ngulo sea menor a 10 grados. El prop\u00f3sito de esta clase es soportar la carga est\u00e1tica.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brinda soporte a un trabajador que se apoya sobre la protecci\u00f3n y le proporciona sujeci\u00f3n cuando camina a su lado.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Detiene o previene que los trabajadores caigan desde alturas.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><b>Clase B<\/b><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Este tipo de clase est\u00e1 pensada para usarse en lugares donde el \u00e1ngulo sea inferior a 30 grados. En ese caso, no habr\u00e1 l\u00edmite de altura de ca\u00edda.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O se puede utilizar para lugares donde el \u00e1ngulo debe ser inferior a 60 grados pero la altura debe ser inferior a 2 m.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tenga en cuenta que los sistemas de clase B se eval\u00faan de acuerdo con una prueba de impacto din\u00e1mico bajo.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para soportar bajas fuerzas din\u00e1micas y cargas est\u00e1ticas:\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proporciona un asidero cuando se camina a su lado o proporciona apoyo a la persona que se apoya en la protecci\u00f3n.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tambi\u00e9n tiende a detener cualquier trabajo que pueda estar cayendo hacia la protecci\u00f3n.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><b>Clase C<\/b><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hay dos condiciones en los sistemas de protecci\u00f3n de clase C.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Se utilizan donde no hay limitaci\u00f3n de altura y el \u00e1ngulo est\u00e1 entre 30 y 45.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por otro lado, se puede utilizar donde el \u00e1ngulo est\u00e9 entre 45 y 60 pero la altura sea menor a 5m.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tenga en cuenta que estos sistemas se eval\u00faan mediante pruebas de impacto altamente din\u00e1mico. <\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tiende a detener a la persona que se desliza por una superficie con mucha pendiente.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-246eab0 elementor-repeater-item-none elementor-repeater-item-none_hover elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"246eab0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">AUSTRALIA y Nueva Zelanda: AS\/NZS 4994.1:2009\u00a0<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c60ad0a elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-repeater-item-none elementor-repeater-item-none_hover elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c60ad0a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esta norma fue elaborada por un comit\u00e9, Joint Standards Australia\/Standards New Zealand BD-092. Su finalidad era proporcionar protecci\u00f3n temporal de los bordes de los edificios residenciales y de viviendas. Su objetivo es proporcionar orientaci\u00f3n y requisitos a los dise\u00f1adores de equipos. Tambi\u00e9n pretende evitar que los trabajadores se caigan de los bordes de los edificios.<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">T\u00e9ngase en cuenta que BD-092 es una expansi\u00f3n de AS\/NZS 4994.1(Int):2004. Si bien la edici\u00f3n de 2004 no se aplicaba espec\u00edficamente a los techos de edificios comerciales e industriales, el Alcance se\u00f1al\u00f3 que podr\u00eda utilizarse en ausencia de una Norma similar.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El est\u00e1ndar funciona perfectamente para lugares donde el \u00e1ngulo no debe ser mayor a 35\u2070.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esta norma no se puede aplicar a la contenci\u00f3n de materiales en techos residenciales.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Se utiliza para edificios que se est\u00e1n renovando, manteniendo, modificando, ampliando y construyendo.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Debe estar dise\u00f1ado espec\u00edficamente para techos donde el \u00e1ngulo supere los 35\u2070. En ese caso, es posible que deba utilizar alg\u00fan otro tipo de resistencia para evitar riesgos.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Especifica los requisitos para el desmontaje e instalaci\u00f3n de sistemas de protecci\u00f3n de bordes y aquellos previos a la instalaci\u00f3n de materiales de revestimiento permanente.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6934772 elementor-repeater-item-none elementor-repeater-item-none_hover elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"6934772\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">EE. UU.: OSHA 1926.502 (Administraci\u00f3n de Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional)<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5e3ea1d elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-repeater-item-none elementor-repeater-item-none_hover elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5e3ea1d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Las normas OSHA son las que se aplican actualmente en los EE. UU. Seg\u00fan estas normas, las barandillas deben alcanzar una altura de 42 pulgadas. Puede estar +\/- 3 pulgadas por encima de la superficie de trabajo o de paso.
