Concrete Edge Protection

  • Strictly comply with the standard OSHA 1926, AS/NZS 4994 and EN 13374.
  • OEM-ready manufacturing with custom specs to match your market requirements.
  • Multiple feet options available to suit different slab conditions and stability needs.

Edge Protection For Concrete Slab

Concrete edge protection is a temporary safety barrier system installed on concrete structures—along slab edges, openings, stair voids, balconies, and other leading edges—to prevent falls from height during construction.

It typically uses posts + guardrails or mesh panels fixed to the slab (top-mounted, edge-mounted, clamped, or compression-fixed) so the protection can be moved and reconfigured as the pour cycle and site access change.

Different Types Of Concrete Edge Protection Solutions

We have different concrete edge protection systems that can be adapted to different concrete frames, below are some of our more common systems, for advice on how to choose the most appropriate system for your project, it is recommended to consult with one of our engineers and we will give you the best advice for your situation. Of course, you can also provide drawings and we can customize them for you.

The slab grab edge protection system is capable of being used both horizontally and vertically.

concrete bracket edge protection solution

Edge Bracket Concrete Edge Protection System

An excellent concrete bracket edge protection solution for erecting barrier systems on precast concrete slab edges, timer cassette edge or pre-cast stair stringer.

TG Slab Edge Bracket Protection System

TG Slab Edge Bracket Concrete Edge Protection

The TG Slab Edge Bracket Protection System offers a method of attachment to any suitable vertical surface, connecting with TG post and TG mesh barrier.

compression post edge protection

Compression Post Concrete Edge Protection

Compression posts are most suitable for sites with high wind loads. Compression posts can be installed. There is no need to worry about the height of the top. The inner tube can be extended to the ceiling with an extensible inner tube.

Stair Edge Protection System

Clamp On Stair Concrete Edge Protection System

The new staircase solution provides a cost-effective way of constructing proprietary staircase handrails in half the time of more traditional methods.

Stair Edge Protection System

Socket Base Stair Concrete Edge Protection

During the construction phase, stairs are very common walking surfaces on construction sites. The APAC socket base stairway edge protection system protects workers when they are using stairs.

Stair Edge Protection System

Mesh Barrier Stair Concrete Edge Protection

Fully versatile with our stair barrier system, this system ensures that safety is not compromised in hazardous stair environments.

3D Displays About Concrete Edge Protection Systems

These 3D displays help you visualize the full system on real concrete structures: where posts sit, how panels connect, how openings and corners are protected, and how the protection moves as pours progress. Use them to speed up internal approvals, align crews before installation, and reduce on-site rework caused by unclear drawings or missing context.

Why Choose APAC Concrete Edge Protection

APAC concrete edge protection is built for a modular, repeatable barrier system that keeps exposed edges controlled without slowing the program.

Proven Standards Compliance Across Markets

To support international projects and easier site acceptance, APAC edge protection systems are designed to strictly conform to:

  • EN 13374
  • AS/NZS 4994
  • OSHA 1926.502

This gives contractors, distributors, and rental fleets confidence that the system can align with commonly referenced requirements across different regions.

Factory Capability + OEM/ODM Support

APAC operates with in-house manufacturing to support stable B2B supply, and we offer OEM/ODM services so you can build a consistent product line for your market.

  • OEM/ODM available: branding, labels, packaging, and configuration support
  • Multiple surface finishes: choose the right corrosion protection/coating for your site conditions
  • Consistent production: repeat orders with stable specs for contractors, distributors, and rental fleets

Built For RC Frame Pour Cycles

Most concrete structures move in phases: set formwork → pour → strike → move up. Your edge protection must follow the program without creating rework.

  • Modular post + mesh panel format that crews can relocate floor-by-floor
  • Multiple fixing methods so you don’t get stuck when slab conditions change (edge returns, upstands, tight perimeters)
  • Mesh infill creates a more complete barrier than open rails—helpful when the site is busy, and trades are crossing the edge zone

Applications For Concrete Edge Protection Systems

Concrete edge protection is most valuable on RC frame projects where the “edge condition” changes every week. As slabs are poured, shutters are moved, and trades rotate in and out, exposed edges and openings can appear quickly—often faster than traditional guardrails can be reworked. A modular edge protection system helps you keep a consistent barrier in place, move it with the pour cycle, and maintain safer access as the structure progresses.

  • RC frame slab edges
  • Openings, stair voids, lift shafts
  • Balconies and landings
  • Perimeter protection during formwork and stripping cycles
  • Temporary edge zones as access changes by trade

Edge Protection | The Ultimate FAQ Guide

Which Fixing Method Should I Choose For My Slab?

Choose based on your slab condition and installation preference: socket base (top mount), edge bracket (edge mount), slab grab clamp, or compression post for non-drilling floor-to-ceiling fixing.

Can The System Be Moved As The Build Progresses?

Yes. The system is modular and designed to be relocated as leading edges and openings change with each pour cycle.

Do You Support Different Standards For Different Markets?

APAC systems are designed to align with common requirements including EN 13374 (Class A / B), AS/NZS 4994.1, AS/NZS 1170, and OSHA 1926.502.

Can I Mix APAC Components With Another Brand’s Posts Or Panels?

No. Mixing components may create unsafe conditions due to different dimensions/specs, and the mixed configuration may not comply with applicable standards.

What Do You Need To Recommend A Configuration And Quote?

Your slab type/condition, preferred fixing method, project floors/areas to protect, and any required standards. A drawing or site photo helps speed up selection.
