APAC’s Aluminium Stretcher Stairs are pre-fabricated and designed to fit in a 1.2m x 2.4m bay with 1.0m/2.0m height. The stairs are 585mm wide with a rise of 230mm. Two Aluminium Stretcher Stairs will fit perfectly side by side on a 1.2m bay. You will need to use APAC Aluminium Stretcher Stairs in pairs, i.e. left Aluminium Stretcher Stairs and right Aluminium Stretcher Stairs mounted on a 1.2m bay.
APAC’s Aluminium Stretcher Stairs can sit on the transom (Omega Transom) of the modular system scaffolding. It is an ideal solution for safe access in scaffolding construction.
According to AS 1657, Section 4.3.1, the rise of the Aluminium Stretcher stair treads should be no less than 150mm and not greater than 215mm, our rise between two stair treads is 200mm, which conforms to the standard.
According to AS 1657, Section 4.3.1, the going of the Aluminium Stretcher stair treads should not be less than 215mm and not greater than 305mm, our going of the treads is 230mm, which conforms to the standard.
According to AS 1657, Section 4.3.1, the tread width is not less than the going and there is a minimum overlap of 10mm, APAC’s Aluminium Stretcher stair conforms to it as well.

The concentrated loading of our Aluminium Stretcher stairs was designed and tested to be 1KN, and the dead load of the stairway structure plus a superimposed live loading was designed and tested to be 2.5 Kpa.
